what to expect

I have a $50 non-refundable booking fee required once we find a good day to shoot your family. This secures you on my calendar and takes care of a few creative and business things here and there.

When we set the date after I get your booking fee, you’ll receive a consultation so I can get a better idea of what you have in mind for your photos. More is listed below about location and what to wear, but I’d love to answer any questions you may have about either. Please feel free to visit the Client Questionnaire page so I can get a better idea of your vision for your photos.

You should wear what makes you feel beautiful! I generally like to see families in pastels or neutrals. White shirts and jeans is a classic, beautiful look. Textures like lace, linen, and silks translate beautiful on camera. A good tip is to put half the family in a pattern and half in plain. Please avoid any small, busy patterns like paisley, small gingham or small plaid. I like to physically lay out each article of clothing my family will wear on the bed to see if the colors and patterns go together. Take a look at my Pinterest board for more inspiration.

Once the session is complete I’ll send over the invoice via QuickBooks. You have the option to pay (like the Booking Fee) via bank transfer or check. Once the session is paid in full and your session is fully edited (this usually takes about 3-4 weeks) I’ll send you an email with the link to your password protected online gallery. You will have 6 months to access this gallery. This email will also have information regarding printing companies. If at any time you need a Print Release, feel free to contact me and I’ll send one right over!
